February 12, 2013

Dear Precious,

You are driving me nuts flipping through Muppet's Treasure Island. "Cabin Fever" really is not an awesome song the 10th time though. You are very cute for the dramatic climax crying "Oh, dear! Miss Piggy" as they fall off the cliff. I got you a heart shaped tangram set for Valentine's Day. I hope you enjoy it. Your first loose tooth started yesterday. I hope it falls out soon. We need to take you to the dentist soon.

Love,
Your Maman

Dear Dearest,

I love you. I worry about your job though. I would like to point out if you'd put up your towels like I had asked last night, you would not have to scream at me this morning for one. It was folded neatly on the back of the couch.

I miss you, Dearest. I wish I could hug you right now.

Love,
Your Wife

Dear Mama,

I am irritated. I tried to make amends repeatedly. You cannot get along with Dearest. You have consistently put Precious between Dearest/myself and yourself. I've only sought to try to mend our relationship while protecting Precious. Precious is too young to understand these problems. Dearest and I want Precious safe at all costs. Dearest decided that you are too sick to visit with Precious. I wish you would seek help. I need proof that you're willing to change in order to get Dearest to appeal his ultimatum. Unfortunately, you leave nasty psychologically damaging messages to me in cards intended for Precious. I can't give them to Precious in the future; they're too embarrassing for you in my humble opinion. You illustrated that Dearest and I are a fence separating Precious and you in a pre-printed card. I am praying that this metaphor only occurred to you while signing and that you didn't stand in the store looking for a card to give you this juvenile parting shot advantage.

As a child, I only wanted a fairy tale ending. I didn't really want the Mama-in-law problems too.

Not Mama's Precious One

P.S. Please get help, Mama.

Escape at the Park #7

Lauren raced down the lane heedlessly. She glanced back to catch sight of her pursuers. They were loudly bearing down on her. A cyclist dodged two noisy children with an empty leash. Some adults casually tossed a frisbee back and forth. She coiled her body into a leap catching the frisbee. "Hey, that dog should be leashed," a disgruntled player shouted.

Prize in mouth. Lauren took off again. This was so much more fun than walking. Anna and Simon were so slow. They quarreled with each other frequently. It causes pain in her sensitive ears to be nearby. Setting her new toy down, she went to the edge. Panting, she slipped down the creek's slope and lapped water.

She cocked an ear listening to the twins whining. "Auntie will be angry as us," whined Simon. Anna cried, "I told you taking the dog was bad. I didn't think a dog would impress Graham at all. Especially an unruly one like Aunt Emily's."

"Lauren!" Lauren glanced up the slope and caught sight of Elena. "Come here, girl! Your mommy will worry," she soothingly called. Fetching up her frisbee, Lauren raced to Elena for cuddles. Cuddles were great, until you wanted down again. Elena turned to scold Anna and Simon. "Didn't you think Emily would miss her treasured pet? They sent me to fetch you back. I missed my favorite show because of you."
Well, I missed several days. Go figure. I'll write these out in bursts and hopefully work up to a page on topic.

My husband got a job that is not a contract. I cannot wait until I get caught up on bills.

Malak doesn't like me. I'm pretty sure he wants me dead or gone. Probably both at once, I hope he likes bloodless hands.
#4
I really wish I could oblige him. That would get me out from under his staring glare. I shouldn't have burned his toaster up during dinner. I should leave before he sees his car.
#5
I love reading fairy tale variations. You get new insight with each new twist. My favorite one has a fox in it. The fox perseveres gracefully until the end. We should all aspire to that.

If I told the truth here, I'd be lying somewhere. There's always something that I'm unaware of. I don't pay attention very well at all. I just want to chatter and make things up as I go. That's creative license, right?

Way of the Cheetah: Day 1

I'm going to try this Way of a Cheetah thing for writing. I'm supposed to write a meaningful sentence (10 words max) and then double this for the next day. I'll use this for a journal. Here it goes:
  • I wish my jobless husband would help with household chores.
I think that nails it.

New Job

I got a job working for White Lion Games. Yeah Magic TG!
I walked out with $60 in my purse last night. Felt great to know it was mine and I earned it. I like being able to get money so my baby can have presents(Christmas). I rediscovered a book I wanted and thought I'd started a wish list. Well it's here now! I've been keeping up with housework and playing tea party. It's getting old.

I'm finally accepting that my husband has a sleep problem. At first I wanted to stay it was his fault, but after living with him for four years, it's clearly a disorder. The reason I had so much trouble believing him is I was raised in a strict disciplined environment you rose and slept on a time slot. No aberration was allowed. He tries but restlessly fails. It hurts knowing that he accepts 9-to-5 jobs to meet his obligations to his daughter and me. I sincerely hope that he can find either a niche that allows him to sleep naturally and still fund us or finds his calling and pioneers into something he loves. I really throwing my weight to the latter. It'd be more of a blessing. I'm doing more than I was, so maybe I can help out more when she's in school.

Steak and potatoes

I bought steak for my bro, his fiancee and me. I guess the baby gets PBJ again. I gotta make some potatoes to go with them and bring some rolls. I've been getting along with my youngest brother while my parents are out of town.

I can come out [of my room] now.

"Gee, thanks Dad."
I'm 24, staying as a guest at your house with my 2 year old, and you sent me to my room for 'slamming' pans in protest for being called out on not doing them last night.

Seriously?

Seriously, folks. Guests at my parents' house are expected to go to their room for picking up two pans at once and making them clank in order to start the dishwater to wash them. The only thought in my head regarding him at the time was I should probably wait until he's out of the kitchen; and forget about these until later. But, then he'd be yelling at me then, and that's uncool too.

Yes, for the more mature reader, I know I'll always be a child in my parents' eyes. But I got sent to my room for trying to comply and yelled as opposed to "Good morning" over two pans(one of which was mine) that I had every intention of washing after I did my hair, which happened to be what I was doing at the time of the yelling fit on his part. Then he had the nerve to come in here thirty minutes later and tell me "You can come out of your room now." *laughter* I'm sorry I think I'm going to stay in my room until your ass is out of the house because you're too civil and 'pleasant' for me to stomach.

Kites, headaches and child

I flew a kite with my husband yesterday. Baby wanted nothing to do with it. I ended up putting it together. I couldn't figure out were the pockets for the short rods went, so my husband did that part. Anyways, we took turns flying it and playing on the outdoor equipment with the two year old. I got some rope burn on my right middle finger. It stung bad yesterday, but it's fine today.

I did my taxes. Well, most of them. I need the 1099-M that's coming in and the other forms I ordered. I ended up needing a 8812 and 8919.

If you have a child, or dependent, you can't file 1040-EZ. You have to file a 1040-A, which doesn't cover all the forms of income and deductions that a 1040 covers. Oh, and that 1099M isn't on the A form, go figure.

8919 is the form for unreported SSI taxes on wages that weren't tips. 8812 is in order to get the full $1,000 credit for my child. They want to give you that money, but you have to file a form if your tax is lower than the credit amount. They pay you the money. I need to look into EIC. We're paying in only for them to tell us, oh hey you make shit so have all your money back. Thanks, really needed another reminder of barely making it here.

Failure to Communicate

*pause*
...
...
...
...
That's it, right? I'm going to type with my eyes close and get this out here. I'm stressed. My husband lost his job. I learned to type, although slowly, somewhere since ninth grade. Didn't pick up the numbers I guess. I couldn't hit the 9.(Yes, I looked for that one.) "Draft autosaved at 12:03AM." My baby girl hit me in the face when I went to bed. She didn't want me to curl up with her, though Daddy was okay. Tonight, I read a girl's? blog, only a part of it, but she didn't use caps at all. I don't know her or the lady with the four kids and the farm/garden, I read some of their work. My mom says people on the internet don't exist. So none of this counts, and you're not reading this. This was documented by me, for me, and there's no one out there that will stumble upon it googling "smile in your pocket lyrics". Wasn't that a song I sang as a kid or a poem I read in a Brownie book for Girl Scouts? Or was it just some song for puppets in Mister Rogers Neighborhood? I need paragraphs. This is running together. Fine. Here's one now.

I want to write. I think. I read somewhere the important part to writing is to sit down and write. I couldn't find it again. I wanted to so I could etch it into my mind. Maybe that's God's way of taking my crutch and removing the quote, so I have to retype it and paraphrase it since I can't copy it verbatim. This is writing. Even it's bullshit, right?

To my therapist in the future: I hate the idea of you, but I think I need to write you some notes. Things I might forget to say later.

I don't want to be a zombie like my mother's mother. I have so much in common with her already; although, I missed the productive and supportive bits. The backbone, you might say.

I'm a failure as a mother. I don't speak to my daughter as often as I should. I'm afraid to take her outside. Even given that the wicker bench on the porch hasn't been destroyed or stolen. That should say something good about the neighborhood.

I don't like meeting new people; it's awkward and humiliating because I'm abnormal. I like daydreaming, it's like my life; only there's no one to impress or play audience. I guess it's the no pressure aspect, and the fact that godmode cheat is always enabled so you can redo fuck ups.

Old Material

My husband wrote this back in December 2008. RANT! Due to comments he followed it up with Follow up. He's rather unbiased about the case. We really didn't care about the shaman, but rereading left me feeling I'd wish I'd comment back then to point out a few details left unmentioned.

The guy was the only shaman in raid. His real competition was the RNG not us. (God, I hate that RNG I really do.) Any shaman mail that dropped was his... why argue over a pair of leather boots with stat itemization wasted on spirit? Rings and trinkets would have been foregone, but every piece of spell power mail or shield was his.

Also, the guy was going on the whole of two bosses about how his only non purple slots were shield and boots? I think. I really don't remember the other slot, only reassuring him that any and all shields he could use would be his(He was after all the only one that could use it!). I couldn't guarantee trinkets and rings as our own healers needed them and not say the shaman mail they can't wear.

Okay ~rant off~ In SK, our loot system, the RNG is your opponent. In order for the other healers to gear they drop for their cloth/leather pushing you to the top. If that ring/trinket drops then guess who gets it? You(cheer), then you go on bottom. If that's followed up with mail. Guess who's the resto shaman? You again, you drop on bottom again... oh, no, you're at the bottom, so you can't go anywhere and the cycle continues, so you got two loots for the position of one! And it works like that with all trinkets and rings: tank, melee, caster/healer. ~rant free zone end~

That's one of the reasons every pug I've ever seen is stunned at the end of a farm run. They literally get every piece of gear they could have possibly used for anything. The rest is sharded. We've geared main and offsets off lucky runs.

Yes, we use a priority system to back up the guild's progression, but by the same token we don't shard something if there's a chance anyone in raid could use it.

Currently since I'm the other tank for the guild on my prot pally I was swooping up spell plate/mail by the armfuls... Literally because no one but me could use it and at this point, it really doesn't matter. I had to share with a PUG shaman, who recently joined our guild. And nowasays, I actually feel bad if she's not there to roll main against my off. She needs it way more than I ever could! She's the one healing my ass in the fight. ^_^ <3 Maaline

I don't know. I think the people that worship purples can go to hell. I'd rather take a person in full blues that's pleasant and puts their heart into it over a cold bastard that just wants his sparklies. Guildmates that don't piss you off every other word outta their mouth are infinitely more precious than a greedy loot whore. God, I hate those casters that yank an upgrade from you for an extra hit piece to play with. Sidegrade, like wth lrn2share NUB!

Oh, and before you say anything about me being a loot whore. I dedicate all of my enchant materials to my guildies and gems. I enchant them and gem them for free! In fact I get mad if they're running around without since all they have to do is ask U_U

Next please!

Well there goes a whole 'nother month of tomorrows. I predicted that safely. I've been posting twice a month *whince* on Falcynne's blog. I need to get over there and post on downing Freya which we did last night!

I'm trying to work out a way to still play wow and keep up with the housework. It's in the works. I'll get there.

In other news, WoW has been boring me. Maybe if we manage to steal Yogg from the other 10 man only guilds I'll be fired up. It'd be kinda ironic to make a comeback after that long break.

I might have to restart my story as there was no plot and I've nothing to carry the characters on with. Another reason I've no posted here. Sorry! *bows*

Serenity

Well, I have been tanking on my paladin, Falcynne, we've cleared out the first bit of Ulduar. We tried the Iron Council and Hodir last night. The result was a total wipe festival. Nevermind we were attempting to 7 man it. I love Savant; we're dedicated group. Everyone wants to succeed on downing new content. Too bad all the tank plate has been dropping. I'm scooping up all the tank loot and the others need to be geared up so we can get farther. Hopefully some hunter/plate dps gear will drop. Caster cloth for mah healing buddies! It's really not that bad considering we took a 2.5 month break right before Ulduar, and that we're still short 1.5 healers every raid night (there's only three nights).

I've started a mild rp front for her. She's dating Sarnguu, a Draenai warrior. ^_^ Two plate toting people that like swords should get along, right? Sarnguu is watching over her shaman sister, Eirae, who has taken a liking to Verin, Sarnguu's insane brother. I can't wait until Falcy drives her sword through his gut, oh wait, (she wasn't going to do that, wasn't going to do that.) I'm going to try to start a rp blog maybe I'll be able to keep up with that better?

Tea for tomorrow; tea for today

I made tea for tomorrow; only to find it half gone this morning. *sigh* Mayhap I shall do that every night do something in preparation for tomorrow to see if it's half done, half undone or still there.

Rema crept from the room softly. Her slippers made no noise as she crossed the hallway making her way to the back stairs leading from the ground. She refused to be seen as a weak ninny. They thought to control her keep and her along with it; well she'd show them her strength. Anger flashed before her eyes hiding the stone upon the stair. Treading carelessly upon it, she fell the remainder of the case landing at the foot three feet below. Her shrill cry sounded through the barren walls summoning foot soldiers positioned around the area. The novice lieutenant shook his head as the Lady Rema was set to rights whilst abusing the hands that helped her. Lord Canrik would be displeased to hear of her misadventure.

"T'would be better if'n his Lordship sealed her in a convent, me'thinks", drawled Henry restaining her amid unladylike curses. Lt. Devon glared at the man's audicaty, "Mayhap, ye should leave such remarks unsaid." Roughly he seize her elbow and pulled her back up the stairs calling eight of the more trustworthy men to him. They hurriedly flanked him as he told them to guard her room. "She's not to leave this room." He crossed the room pulling Lady Rema to the balcony. He posted four of the men at the balcony and four at the door before proceeding to leave. By now the indignation of being hauled back into her chamber had settled and Lady Rema proceeded to throw thing at him with fury. "I'll not stay here and be pawn to this any further!" "As if any one of us had a choice!" he said furiously. She meekly turned from him with that response her tears overwhelming her. Ignoring her, he strode from the room. Rick, his second, nodded to Devon as he passed.

She was safe for now and that was the only thing that mattered.
